Please reach out to info@everworthcounselling.ca if you can not find an answer to your question.
I offer individual sessions for adults in-person in Guelph and virtually across Ontario. I specialize in anxiety & self-doubt, attachment & relationship patterns, and childhood wounds & relational trauma - the kind that comes from growing up in environments where your emotions weren't welcomed or your needs came second. Many of my clients in Guelph come in saying "I don't know if it was bad enough to call it trauma", and that's exactly who I work with. I also offer queer-affirming therapy, support for university students, and therapy for therapists across Ontario.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other! I'll ask about what's bringing you to therapy, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping will change. There's no pressure to share everything right away - we go at your pace. We'll also spend a few minutes reviewing the consent form and cancellation policy that you will be emailed in advance of the session, I'll answer any questions you have about me, the therapy process, or anything else you're curious about. By the end, you'll have a sense of whether we're a good fit.
Yes! I see clients both in-person in Guelph, Ontario and virtually across the province. Virtual sessions use a secure video platform and are just as effective for most concerns, including anxiety, relationship patterns, and self-doubt.
If you've been overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling stuck in the same patterns - and the self-help books aren't cutting it anymore - therapy can help. You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis to start. A lot of my clients come in saying "I don't even know if this is bad enough for therapy." It is.
I draw primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic approaches. In plain terms: we work with the different parts of you that are stuck in old survival patterns, and we help your nervous system learn that it's safe to do things differently. Change happens in your body, not just your head.
Most clients start noticing shifts within the first few sessions - things like feeling less reactive, catching old patterns sooner, or being kinder to themselves. Deeper work with attachment and relational trauma typically unfolds over several months. We'll check in regularly so therapy always feels purposeful.
Most insurance plans cover services by a Registered Social Workers. I encourage you to reach out to your benefit provider to double check if you are unsure. After your session, you'll be provided with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider, or as a medical expense claim on your income tax return. University of Guelph students can check their benefits here.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance in therapy. It is a priority to me that you feel safe sharing, knowing that your information will remain private at all times. Everything talked about in therapy stays between you and I, unless I have a legal obligation to breach confidentiality. These exceptions primarily have to do with the safety of yourself and others (such as a risk of harm to others or suspected child abuse) . Before starting therapy, you will be given a written copy of the confidentiality policy, we'll review it together, and you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
My in-person office is located just outside of downtown Guelph in a quiet, private space designed to help you feel at ease from the moment you arrive. You’ll receive arrival details after booking so you can find the space easily and settle in without stress.
Virtual sessions take place on our easy to use, secure scheduling platform, so you can join from the comfort of your home.
